"Temperatures are dropping. The air smells like dry leaves and fireplace smoke. The first snow clings to branches and the ridges of dry grass. More is on the way."
- Carrie MaKenna
Acrylic on Canvas, 20x16x2
This series of tree paintings are created on gallery wrapped canvas using a thick acrylic paste to create the base texture. While I work I find myself in a meditative state. Each tree has its own shape and personality. They are a joy to make. I hope you enjoy them too.
- The image continues around each edge. Artwork is self-framing with 2-inch gallery wrapped canvas with hanging wire attached. It hangs flat against the wall. This is a hand-made piece of original artwork, details and color may vary slightly.

MBT First Dusting Of Snow
The Tree Series explores the tree as a subject with its own personality as it relates to its environment and landscape. Trees are rooted in the earth, holding onto the ground while they stand upright with their branches reaching into the air to interact with elements and seasons. They have a lot to teach us.
The original painting is textured with an under-layment of thick acrylic paste. MaKenna uses a specialized palette of twenty acrylic paints and additional elements to create unique one-of-a-kind artwork. The image continues around each edge. Artwork is self-framing with 2-inch gallery wrapped canvas with hanging wire attached. It hangs flat against the wall.
